چکیده

Following studies made on the standardization of a traditional recipe Albizia ferruginea and Newbouldia laevis, we carried out pharmacological effects microorganisms found dermatosis: two bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa three species Epidermophyton. Materials Methods: harvest truck pulps laevis at Eloundem, they were dry for week in an ambient environment, followed by grinding to granular powdered form. A powder mass 250 g was used extract, using Soxhlet from BEHR LABOR-TECHNIK. Therefore, mixture ethanol-water volume ratio 70/30 as solvent. The renewal fungi strain regeneration viability testing phase. antifungal antivity Disc diffusion method broth dilution method. Results: MICs respectively: MIC 12.5 mg/mL Staphyloccocus aureus 6.25 aeruginosa; Trichophyton rubrum: laevis; interdigitale: 125 violaceum: laevis. Conclusions: Our different plant extracts would be possibility explore study vivo antibacterial anti-dermatophytic activities.

The antibacterial activity of the water extracts of three species of Salvia on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa

The aim of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial activity of the water extracts of three species of Salvia (S. perspolitana, S. palaestina, S. bracteata) on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeroginosa. The antibacterial activity of water extracts of the studied species on the bacterial strains was examined using well diffusion method and minimum inhibitory concentr...

In vitro Evaluation of Methylxanthines and Some Antibiotics: Interaction against Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Background: The development of resistance to antimicrobial agents is a major problem in chemotherapy. Finding agents which potentiate antimicrobial activity could be favorable. There are some reports that methylxanthines changed the inhibitory effect of antibacterial agents. Thus, possible synergistic effect of methylxanthines, aminophylline and caffeine on some antibiotics, carbenicillin, ceft...

Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, and Fluoroquinolone Use

Few long-term multicenter investigations have evaluated the relationships between aggregate antimicrobial drug use in hospitals and bacterial resistance. We measured fluoroquinolone use from 1999 through 2003 in a network of US hospitals. The percentages of fluoroquinolone-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) were obtained from yearly antibiogr...
